Our Farm · The Orchard · Where They Grow
Our orchard sits on Littabella Road at Mullett Creek, between the Bundaberg hinterland and the coast. It's warm, it's sunny, and the soil is some of the best avo country in Queensland.
We grow six varieties across 2,400 trees: Hass, Shepard, Wurtz, Linda, Sharwil and the Littabella Long. That last one is ours alone, and you won't find it anywhere else. Picking season runs from April through to August.
Embarking on our avocado farm journey in 2021 filled us with excitement, gratitude, and a deep sense of purpose. We are dedicated to nurturing our avocado trees, cultivating a sustainable ecosystem, and sharing the bountiful harvest with avocado lovers near and far. This venture represents our commitment to healthy living, environmental stewardship, and the joy of cultivating nature's green gold. Here's to a fruitful future on our family-run avocado farm!
Our Story
We are the O’Dwyer family and the owners of Mullet Creek Avocados.
We're Hugh and Kellie O'Dwyer. In 2021 we swapped city life for a few thousand avocado trees, and we haven't looked back.
Four harvests later, we're still loving it, and the trees are too.
It's a family operation from start to finish. Hugh and Kellie run the farm together, from picking and packing to the local box drops.
